Born and raised in Marksville, LA, Dr. Bryan McCann has been connected to this area since 1944. He is married to Bobbie Ryan McCann and they have five children and ten grandchildren. After he graduated from Lafargue High School he went to Louisiana College in Pineville, LA where he majored in Biology. After his bachelor's degree, he continued his studies in medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA.
After his internship at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital in Baton Rouge, he opened up his own practice on July 1, 1971, at 424 N. Washington St. in Marksville, LA. He has been practicing in the same location since then.
This year will mark his 50th anniversary of practicing medicine and serving the people of Avoyelles Parish and the surrounding parishes. During his early years of practice, he delivered thousands of babies at the old Marksville Hospital. Dr. Bryan’s years of experience and wisdom are evident in his family practice. He treats patients of all ages ranging from infants to the elderly. From your common cold to specializing in treating patients with different forms of addiction, opioid, alcohol, smoking, and obesity.
Staying connected to the community of Marksville is extremely important to Dr. McCann. He is on the board of the Washington Street Hope Center (Addiction Treatment Center) as well as the board of the Physicians Health Program(for Addicted Physicians).
